Bridge To Wiseman's Cove

This is my year 11 English Blog.

We are reading a book called 'A Bridge To Wiseman's Cove' by James Moloney.

The book is about a unnuclear family who has a lot of troubles. The main characters are Kerry, Carl, Sarah, Harley, and Aunt Beryl. Kerry the mother, runs away and leaves the family to live by themselves. Sarah the eldest of the children, decides to sell the house and leave to go on a holiday. She sends her two brothers to their Aunt Beryl's house without saying she's never coming back. Carl is insecure but understands the situation that is happening and tries his best to look out for his younger brother. Harley is oblivious and is only concerned about fitting in to the new town. Aunt Beryl doesn't want the kids because she knows that her sister isn't going to come back. Overall the entire family is poor and struggles to support eachother.

'A Bridge To Wiseman's Cove' is set in Wattle Bay but based in Tincan Bay on Fraser Island.
